Blue Health Intelligence secures €3.4 million for Europe expansion

Blue Health Intelligence has raised €3.4m for international expansion and further development of its preventive healthcare products.
The Amsterdam-based company provides in-person health checks covering cardiovascular health, metabolism, and liver and kidney function.
Its €299 health check uses hundreds of data points and takes about one hour, according to the company. Results are discussed with a doctor immediately afterwards and uploaded to its app.
Onno Huyghe, chief executive and co-founder of Blue Health Intelligence, said: “In countries such as Japan, Germany and the UK, periodic health checks are already embedded in the healthcare system, but unfortunately that is not yet the case in the Netherlands.
“By gaining earlier insight into their health, people can stay healthy for longer and health issues can be prevented.
“With our affordable health checkup, we aim to make prevention more accessible to many people.”
The company is looking to expand internationally, with Italy and France identified as potential markets.
Blue Health Intelligence was founded in 2025 by Huyghe and physician and healthcare entrepreneur Leanne Verdonck.
The company says more than 2,000 people have booked an in-person health check at its Prinsengracht location in Amsterdam since launch.
Huyghe said: “Italy and France are the most attractive markets for us, although finding the right location can still be something of a puzzle.
“Our own research shows that Paris and Milan offer at least as much potential as Amsterdam. We expect to launch in one of those two cities during the first half of 2027.
“This will bring us another step closer to our ambition of becoming Europe’s leading preventive health platform.”
The funding round was led by Knop Investments, with participation from entrepreneurs including Jeroen Tas, former chief innovation and strategy officer at Philips, and Dutch lifestyle influencer Anna Nooshin.
It follows an earlier investment round in which Blue Health Intelligence raised more than €1.1m.
Maurits Koning, managing director at Knop Investments, said: “Over the past year, Blue Health Intelligence has demonstrated that there is a demand for insight into one’s personal health. More than 2,000 people have now booked a health check, and the Amsterdam location is fully booked through November.
“With this investment, we want to give Leanne, Onno and the team the opportunity to further develop their products and enter new markets together.”
